Founder/COO – Ross Cooper
(Robin) Ross Cooper, the company’s COO, has more than 35 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur and corporate officer. He is an accomplished inventor with numerous issued patents to his name. In addition, Ross sold millions of packaged software titles through Cliffs Notes (1980s and 1990s) including the popular title, “The Preparation for the SAT”.
After winning a $114 million judgement over ownership of intellectual property, Ross sold his company Internet Magic (a leading Internet Messaging Company) to Intel in 1999.
Upon founding Verimatrix in 2000, he went on to build a dynamic and focused management team that quickly moved the company into a market-leading position. Verimatrix, considered one of the largest and most prolific content security companies in the world, recently sold to Inside Secure for $140 million.
In the summer of 2004, Mr. Cooper proposed a watermarking plan to the Motion Picture Association and all major Hollywood studios. Mr. Cooper’s plan was approved by the Hollywood community at large, and watermarking processes were initiated later that year. Today, DVDs provided for Academy Award and Golden Globe consideration are typically watermarked thanks to Mr. Cooper’s efforts in partnership with Fox and Warner Bros.
Mr. Cooper is a co-founder of V-SatCast along with the legendary music and movie producer Quincy Jones and one of the most prolific entrepreneurs in the broadband industry, Vern Fotheringham.
CEO – Keith Buckley
Keith Buckley, the company’s CEO, has been building and leading high-growth companies for over 20 years. His primary focus is leading companies through accelerated growth to highly profitable liquidity events, including two exits in the past six years that yielded 4X and 5X ROIC for the PE sponsors. As CEO and President, he’s built and led teams through a total of 5 private sales and 2 IPOs, with a focus on the technology, media, and telecom (TMT) sector, including tech-enabled services, software, and high-tech manufacturing companies.
Most recently, Keith was the Chief Executive Officer of Federos (now an Oracle company), an AI-optimized analytics and automation software solutions provider for many of the largest communications networks in the world. In December 2021, he led the sale of Federos to Oracle for a 5X return on invested capital.
Previously, Keith was President and Chief Executive Officer of The Switch Enterprises, LLC, an international provider of managed, private-cloud video production and transmission services for the world’s largest broadcast, cable, OTT, government, enterprise and eSports content providers. Prior to The Switch, Keith was President and CEO of ASC Signal Corporation, a global designer and manufacturer of satellite earth station antennas, air traffic control antenna systems and weather radar antennas. He led the successful sale of the company to in late-2015 for a 4X ROIC.
Keith was previously the President of Trusonic (now Mood Media), the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Juke Systems, Inc., and the co-founder and CEO of InSight Telecommunications Corporation, a content delivery services company. Each of these companies had successful exits, including a 14X return at InSight.
Keith received his BS in Telecommunications and Film from San Diego State University.
Richard Ciesco graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a BS and MS in Industrial Technology, and currently sits on the board of advisory’s. Richard has been part of technology startups for the last 11 years. As CEO of Hydroflex Technology, he was able to help grow the company 10X in three years with a successful private equity exit at the end of his tenure. Since then, Richard has been part of three technology startups in the audio, video and visual spaces that have been able to raise over $60M in funding combined. Richard helps lead funding and business development across all three ventures.
