Thank you for becoming a senior streamer!

Here are some simple instructions for getting started:

Installing the set-top box

  1. Look at the back of your TV and determine if the HDMI inputs are on the right side or left side of the TV.
  2. Hold the Senior Streamers set-top box in your hands with the white Senior Streamers logo side facing you. This is the front side of the unit. The back side has an attached power cable and an HDMI output connector/port.
  3. Place the Senior Streamers set-top box beside the TV to the left or right, depending on which side is closer to the TV’s HDMI inputs.
  4. Plug the included HDMI cable into the HDMI output connector/port on the back side of the Senior Streamers set-top box.
  5. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into one of the HDMI inputs on your TV. ***NOTE*** Some newer TVs have an HDMI input labeled ARC/eARC. This is typically used to connect an external soundbar. If you are not using a soundbar, you can use this or any of the HDMI inputs for your set-top box.
  6. Plug the attached power cable on the back of the set-top box into the nearest power outlet.

Setting up the remote

  1. Locate the provided remote control and the two AAA batteries. Remove the plastic wrap from the batteries. Remove the battery compartment cover from the back of the remote and insert the two AAA batteries while paying attention to which direction each battery should face according to the diagram in the battery compartment, then replace the battery compartment cover securely.
  2. Point the remote at the set-top box and press the green ON button, then turn on your TV with your TV remote.
  3. Using your TV remote, use the INPUT button to select the HDMI input you used for the set-top box. You’ll know you have the right input when you see the words SENIOR STREAMERS on your TV screen.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair your new Senior Streamers set-top box remote to your TV. This will allow you to turn on both the set-top box and your TV using only the simple set-top box remote.

Power on and getting started

  1. After you have followed the on-screen instructions to set up your set-top box remote, press the red OFF button on the set-top box remote, ensuring that both the set-top box and your TV power off. Wait a few seconds and press the green ON button. Both the set-top box and your TV should power on. ***NOTE*** Some TVs will automatically select the last-used HDMI input when you turn them on, meaning that when you turn your TV on using the set-top box remote, you will immediately see the Senior Streamers input on the TV screen. If you DO NOT see Senior Streamers on your screen a few seconds after pressing the green ON button, you will probably have to use your TV remote to select the correct HDMI input. Some TVs will allow you to select which input to default to by selecting that option in the TVs user settings. If you need help with this, scroll down to¬† “Getting help”.
  2. Now that your set-top box remote has been programmed to control the set-top box and to turn your TV on and off, the first screen you’ll see is (insert text here).
